2008 14th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise

Yearly on the third Saturday of August the Motor City in cooperation with WDC, Inc. and 9 participating communities host the legendary Woodward Dream Cruise.
Historically Woodward avenue is a hot spot for Cruising in automobiles from drive in to drive in, socializing with other car buffs and the occasional street race. The big three automakers Ford, GM, and Chrysler have close ties to Woodward all being local Manufacturers and are said to have tested and tuned new cars and prototypes in the post war days on Woodward avenue.
Today the Woodward Dream Cruise is a Classic, and Show car event bigger than any in the world. Attracting almost two million people from all over the country and North America.
At the heart of the event perhaps 40,000 cars of special interest
mixed in with every other type of contemporary road car we all see every day. 10 miles of vehicles, bumper to bumper, 8 lanes wide, with spectators lining the Woodward strip.
Virtually every muscle car you can think of was in attendance as well as Classic cars, Hot Rods, Exotics, Race cars, Trucks, and Motorcycles.
Come join in the Woodward Dream Cruise where anyone can be part of this extraordinary venue extending 20 miles down the most iconic cruising strip on the planet.
