Competition of elegance
Cars of significance in history that are kept in a pristine original condition so as to show a museum quality automobile that sets an example of the distinguishing characteristics in its category.
Oftentimes these cars were aged and worn specimens that have been painstakingly, restored and renewed with such care and accuracy they will be invited to the most prestigious car shows in the country.
The Concours d'Elegance of America at St. John's is one of these events.
Automobiles are judged for their style, technical accuracy, historical accuracy and originality.
There are a handful of Concours d'Elegance every year throughout the country where the rich and famous come to compete for the best example in its class.
One of the finest exhibitions for beautiful, distinguished historic cars in the world.
Formerly at Meadowbrook Hall the Concours d'Elegance of America at St. John's is one of the local shows we often attend. Along with a number of pre-war classes and post-war classes this year, 2019 featured classes were;
