Once a year in the middle of July the city of Ann Arbor opens its streets to a spectacular display of automobiles. Hundreds of vehicles from our past, present and future are given free reign of Main street and several adjoining street blocks to show our pride and love for the pieces of art that they are.
The 14th annual Rolling Sculpture Car Show is a predecessor to the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair and always gives me the feeling that summer is in full swing.
The car show is accompanied by some of the best food and night life the city has to offer including two excellent brew pubs and a variety of ethnic tastes and fine dining.
Any car guy or gal would be delighted with the diversity of cars included in this show from our favorite Motor City muscle, antiques and heavy iron, Europeon exotics (and not so exotic) to fully modified, outright performance, kit cars and race cars.
Ford, Washtenaw Community College, EMU and the U of M, also make an appearance to show off their latest works and prototypes, including; Fords Shelby Cobra, Verve and Explorer concepts, the WCC Five Hundred GT-R and a beautiful \'54 Chevrolet Truck.
The Rolling Sculpture Car Show in Ann Arbor is one of the best car shows of the year with 400 + cars attending, Friday,July 11th between 2:00-10:00, any age, any interests will be pleased that they came.
See you next year.
