Jan 22, 2008
We attended the Detroit Auto Show on January 22nd 2008, we drove in from the cold January Michigan winter to enjoy the Hot spotlights, models and of course new automobiles on display at one of the greatest auto shows in the world right here in Detroit.
All of the top Auto Manufacturers had their best new vehicles on display, but noticeably absent was Porsche.
Some of the highlights from Detroit include...
Fords huge display included a complete cutaway of the New Ford F150 truck, the Hot Verve Concept, the New Mustangs optional glass roof, the Mustang Bullet and the limited production 2008 Mustang GT500 KR or "King of the Road".
Ferrari had its hottest new models on hand including the 599 GTB Fiorano, the luscious F430 Scuderia and the "Green" Bio-Fuel F430 Spyder.
Mazda had a great display with their futuristic Taiki and the super-hot concept racer the Furai.
Range Rover showed off their new models and had a very cool climate changing display that would occasionally rain around the perimeter of the stage.
Other notable Automobiles on hand included the New Corvette ZR1, the Maybach Landaulet, the Audi R8 V12 Turbo Diesel, Speed Racer Mach V, and the first appearance "in my recollection" of the Chinese automakers all of which had auto designs that seemed strangely reminiscent of other manufacturers automobiles and/or cartoon characters.
