The 2011 North American International Auto Show is in its 23rd year as an international event and should prove to be a strong season, not only for the auto show but automobiles and manufacturers in general.
Attendance was over 86,000 on the first day open to the public, and may be one of the best shows we have seen in recent years. Citrus Stand Media Group is pleased to bring you a prize assortment of photos from this yearly event.
This selection of images is from the 2010 Clinton Fall Festival Car Show. Clinton is in Lenawee county, about 25 miles south west of Ann Arbor. This is the 37th year of the Clinton Fall Festival and there were more than 300 cars on display. A few of the cars were familiar from other shows during the season in Ypsilanti, Saline and Chelsea though most cars, and drivers, had ventured from other areas to attend. The weather was slightly chilly, it was the first weekend of fall, and if you like Fords this was a show to attend. In days gone by, Henry Ford had a summer house in nearby Macon Michigan.
On a cool and clear, Sunday morning with a crisp chill in the September air, we packed up the camera, dawned our long sleeves and drove to Riverside park for the highly anticipated, 14th Annual Ypsilanti Orphan Car Show.
Although the official "orphan car" definition is elusive, the common meaning is, an automobile whose parent company no longer produces that particular make, however I do know that the Chevrolet Corvair is an exception around here because it was produced at our local Willow Run assembly plant.
We have seen lots of pictures and write ups of the Mustang Boss 302 in the last few months of 2010,
but our first formal introduction came at the Woodward Dream Cruise at the Ford Motor Company display in Ferndale Michigan.
Only days before the Dream Cruise, Ford officially announced the availability of a Boss 302 in 2012.
The Ford Motor Company exhibit area on Woodward Ave. at 9 Mile in Ferndale, Michigan was amazing this year. Taking over most of East 9 mile through Ferndale Showing off all the new models including the limited edition 2012 Mustang Boss 302, the European Focus RS and the new Ford Explorer.
The Chrysler Group exhibit area on Woodward at 13 Mile in Royal Oak, Michigan was exceptional this year. Taking over the Northwood shopping plaza parking lot and showing off all the new models including some incredible Mopar creations and the soon to be available Fiat 500.
We were able to get a close look at the latest mopar has to offer and all the current 2010 models from Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Fiat.
The Woodward Dream Cruise has blessed us with another spectacular showing, however, this year was very uncommon from the previous years we have attended, it rained half the day, and we got soaked but…
that didn't affect our attending and participating in the worlds largest one day car show. Over 40,000 automobiles cruise and show through eight host communities from Ferndale to Pontiac.
3 or 4 times a year Roush Industries, Headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, holds an Open House and Cruise-In car show at the Roush Campus on Market Street.

Old Warbirds is a phrase commonly used to describe the Great American Aircraft of World War II.
It was picture perfect weather for the Saline Summerfest this year and the festival was alive with food, family fun, live entertainment and one of the finest collection of classic and show cars we've seen this year.
